Walk into El Willy’s Mexican Restaurant in Pasco. The first thing that hits you is the amazing aroma. “We make our food authentic style,” says owner Jose Contreras. Contreras has owned the restaurant on 1315 E. Lewis Street in Pasco for 7 and a half years. During that time the restaurant has grown in customers and space. “We’ve added extra seating over the years because we’ve built a very loyal customer base,” said Contreras.
El Willy’s Mexican Restaurant
caters to a strong restaurant crowd because it’s surrounded by several light industrial Pasco businesses. But it’s not odd for people to visit El Willy’s all the way from Richland daily. “It always amazes me how people come out of their way to come eat here,” said Contreras.
When we stopped into El Willy’s, the must have on the menu was the Camarones El Willy or The Willy’s Shrimp Platter in English. It’s an amazing blend of slightly seared shrimp, topped with Contreras’s secret sauce and a side of rice that is some of the best you’ll taste. “My sauce is secret,” Contreras told me with a smile.
So if you’re in East Pasco, there’s no doubt El Willy’s is a destination you’ll have to try!.
